WordPress 2.8 was released and have added improvements to themes, widget and taxonomies.
WordPress 2.8 is named “Baker” after trumpeter and vocalist Chet Baker.
The most noticeable improvement for this version of WordPress is the Theme Browser, available in Dashboard. Using Theme Browser you can also specify the theme’s features: number columns, fluid/fixed width or colors.
